Want Not Waste Not

102.  Cardvark

Mugspotters takes America. Mississippi to be exact.
I’d love to know the back-story of how this unloved & exotic trinket made its way from the States only to end up in a Charity Shop in the Bolton / Salford border outpost of Farnworth?
This is our first foray into U.S. Trade earthenware and quirky doesn’t even begin to describe it. Slighty smaller in stature to it’s UK counterpart,  the Cambridge, they’ve managed to cross-pollinate an Aardvark with a cardboard box to create ..
The Cardvark. (Even Dr Frankenstein would have blushed!)
Nestling under this poor, unfortunate beast is the puzzling message: MISSTAP/MSSWRAP.

After a 360 turn, the rear facia gives the big reveal. Cardvark, from the original latin is translated as ‘Boardus Coragatus. To show my education wasn’t wasted, here is more latin for our cultured readers:
Lorem ipsum dolor sit amet, consectetuer adipiscing elit. Aenean commodo ligula eget dolor. Aenean massa. Cum sociis natoque penatibus et magnis dis parturient montes,
nascetur ridiculus mus.

Q: Whats got 4 eyes & can’t see? A: Mississippi

There then follows a “Dummys Guide to Flattening Cardboard”, but also points out the risks of garbage contamination by ‘Waxy Packages and Cereal Boxes.’
Finally we see the organisation responsible for this heinous cross-breed, “Mississippi Waste Minimization” (sic)
I’ve been to the Web’s darker chambers and even the TOR Network but there is nothing matching this organization (sic) anywhere.
This is a watershed post where we’ve reached out to our American cousins and sincerely hope this won’t be our last Trans-Atlantic entry y’all.

Have a nice day!
